02 / Engineering perspective

A specification built around the work.

18650 Battery Packs selection starts with the equipment. Use electrical, mechanical and operating requirements to create a clearer supplier conversation.

Specify the cell, not only the size

18650 identifies a form factor. Chemistry, rated capacity, current limits and manufacturer documentation still matter.

Review the pack structure

Series and parallel arrangements affect the operating voltage, capacity and protection architecture.

Approve a representative sample

Check the fit, runtime and load behavior using production-representative equipment and agreed test conditions.

03 / Application planning

See the system around the battery.

Each application needs its own integration review. A similar voltage or physical format does not establish compatibility.

05 / Questions, answered

Before you specify.

Keep the important decisions visible.

What does 18650 mean?

It is a common cylindrical-cell format designation. It does not by itself specify chemistry, charging limits, discharge capability or suitability for a device.

Is the same mAh rating enough to substitute a cell?

No. Confirm voltage limits, current capability, temperature conditions, dimensions and the pack's validated cell model.

Can I order a complete 18650 pack?

Jetray lists 18650 battery packs and custom pack services. Send the required voltage, load, enclosure and connector information for a project review.

What is the difference between an 18650 cell and a protected battery pack?

An 18650 cell is a component. A protected battery pack may add a protection circuit, leads, connector and a validated arrangement. The finished pack limits depend on that complete configuration.

How do I specify a connector for an OEM 18650 pack?

Specify the exact connector or its requirements, pinout, polarity, wire length and direction, current conditions and mechanical access. Confirm the interface in an agreed drawing.

Which documents should accompany an 18650 battery pack sample?

Ask for the current pack specification, mechanical and interface drawing, configuration identification and documents relevant to the sample and target market. A cell report alone does not cover every complete pack.
